My goal is to listen really carefully to what you are saying so as to understand who you are as a person. We will look together at what may be going on under the surface of your words- patterns of experience that repeat to keep you stuck. I will support you in facing difficult truths and asking challenging questions that can open up new paths. Getting to know people deeply and authentically in order to help them with life’s challenges is something I feel honored to do. In this vein, I also view psychotherapy as a means to explore all aspects of your identity you wish to bring, and their intersections will be invited and affirmed in our work. I look forward to learning about your needs.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in cognitive neuroscience at Brown University. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from City College of the City University of New York (CUNY).  During my clinical training, I worked at The Psychological Center, the counseling center at CUNY Graduate Center, Ohio State University Counseling and Consultation Service, and the Ohio State University Hospital, Department of Psychiatry. I completed my internship at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio where I received specialized training in trauma, psychosis, and personality disorders. My research has focused on mindfulness for chronic stress and the role of cultural humility in client’s experiences of psychotherapy.
